Upcoming new fishing tournament offers great prizes

The first Reel N 4 Kids fishing tournament sponsored by SCOUT BOATS, to benefit the Dorchester Children's Advocacy Center, is June 5.

Sponsors include Scout Boats, McElveen Dealerships, Wendy's, Bristol Marina, Haddrells Point, and Santee Industrial Products.

Scout boats has donated a HYBRID boat motor and trailer to be given away as a door prize to the lucky meal ticket holder.

McElveen is giving away a new GMC or Chevrolet truck to the lucky angler that breaks the state record on trout, flounder or sheepshead during the tournament and Scout Boats will offer another prize of $1,000 cash to the angler who breaks a state record in a Scout boat.

These are the ways you can help:

1) Register a boat in the tournament.. Registration fee $175. Up to four anglers. Includes four meal/doorprize tickets.

2) Purchase meal tickets, five for $100 or one for $25. Each ticket entitles you to one entry for the drawing for the boat motor and trailer.

3) Cash donation of any amount to the Dorchester Children’s Center.
