Parents can learn all about summer camps and educational resources at the annual Lowcountry Parent Camp & Education Fair noon – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Tanger Outlets, 4840 Tanger Outlet Blvd. in North Charleston.
“Sometimes parents have to spend hours and hours – or even weeks – researching camps and schools for their child to attend,” says Doug Kifer, advertising sales manager of Lowcountry Parent, the fair’s sponsor. “At our camp and education fair, parents can come get detailed information all in one place.”
The Lowcountry Parent Camp & Education Fair brings businesses, schools, organizations and parents together as groups publicize their programs and services and recruit families interested in camp and scholastic opportunities for their children. It will be held noon – 4 p.m. Saturday, Saturday, March 6, at Tanger Outlets, 4840 Tanger Outlet Blvd. in North Charleston.

A wide range of businesses and organizations will be on hand to publicize their works and recruit participants, students and families. The fair will include representatives of residential camps, day camps, academic and athletic summer programs, fine arts programs and more.
There will be local entertainment for visitors to enjoy throughout the day. Exhibitors will display their programs and services and answer questions.
“Camp directors will be on hand to answer questions directly,” he says. “It’s a great way to ask questions and get to know them before you entrust your children to them.”
It’s an exciting and fun day for the entire family with many door prizes, kid and parent friendly entertainment and resources regarding local and away summer camps and schools.
In conjunction with the event, Lowcountry Parent magazine will host its annual Cover Kids Event.
Local children will be photographed for inclusion in a portfolio that staff uses to select cover and advertising models throughout the year.
Registered entrants receive a bag full of gifts. Registration is suggested, but not required.
